History

This regional was formed in 2002 and has quickly become one of the most attended regionals in the world. In just two years, there were 62 teams that competed! In 2007, 59 teams competed.

About the Buckeye Regional

The Buckeye Regional is held in Cleveland, OH, at the Wolstien Center in partnership with the Cleveland State University. It usually takes place on the third weekend of March. The Wolstien Center is a large stadium that seats well over 40,000 people. At the 2007 regional, teams from New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Puerto Rico, Wisconsin, and Canada participated, which was really cool because everyone got to meet new people from all walks of life.
