FIRSTwiki talk:Featured article candidates
From FIRSTwiki
I've offered a new way to vote on the articles. Read the instructions. The old page is left intact at FIRSTwiki:Featured article candidates/Archive 1. --SilverStar (Advay) 23:07, 17 Jun 2004 (EDT)
- That may be fine in the future, but I don't think it is really necessary for the present. Really, with only a handful of articles being considered, it seems like we'd just be rotating them. If someone objects to an article, we can fix the problems. I don't think we need an elaborate system quite yet. --Mrawls 12:06, 18 Jun 2004 (EDT)
For an article to be considered, I think that it should have as many links as possilbe working (going to a page with content). These internal links provide clarification. (e.g. The "modifying a servo page links to servo, even though it doesn't work. Many will not know what it is.)
Temporary
Hi, a while ago I put Taurus (1073) as the Featured Article as part of the redesigning process for the Main Page. I put it up without discussing it because there was practically zero activity on this site at the time and no one seemed to object. If there is an actual system in place (and there certainly appears to be) for selecting Featured Articles, please don't hesititate to change what I did. Thanks. - Hollis1138 16:24, 6 August 2006 (EDT)
Might I point out that the information on the Featured Article page is incorrect. It says Taurus (1073) was from the game FIRST Frenzy: Raising the Bar but clearly shows an image of a robot from Triple Play. I'd change it myself but I don't know how or even if I can.
