Netforce, the sixth robot created by F.E.A.R., was created to be used in the 2006 FIRST game, Aim High. It gained the win at the St. Louis Regional that year along with alliance partners teams 71 and 537. At the national competition it was chosen by the top seeded alliance with team 1625 Winnivation and team 27 Rush as a defense for the high scorers on the Galileo field. The alliance was finally beaten by the number two seeded alliance by one point. Netforce is one robot that will be remember in FEAR's Hall of Fame.
The bot is equipped with four wheel drive and cim motors and kit transmissions. It contains a highly responsive PID speed control for the drivetrain. High traction is enabled with pneumatic tires, and with that it climbs the ramps with ease. Netforce has a low center of gravity and has yet to turn over. The hopper lined with fishnet (hence the name) is capable of holding well over 20 balls and the shooting mechanism has a stirrer installed to prevent any of the balls in the hopper from sticking. In the autonomous mode, Netforce is capable of consistently scoring 8 to 10 goals.
Netforce is driven by Kevin Prosser and Nelson Johnson.
