Robot Name

Our robot is called Wall-y Express because it was designed to follow the walls and because it is designed primarily for speed over strength.

  • Drive Type: Standard Differential Drive
  • Motors Used: 3, Two for Drive - One for Attachments
  • Sensors Used
  • Port 1: Rotation
  • Port 2: Light
  • Port 3: Light, Touch, Touch (two touch sensors "ganged" up with a light sensor)
  • Max Possible Score: 405 (with help from the other team)
  • Max Score Achieved in Actual Competition: 334 (at the CT State Tournament)

Builder's "Journal"

4 "Build Teams" created prototypes based on their preferred robot characteristics. Halfway through the season the team voted on the design they liked best while picking up good features of other designs.
