Why does the list at the top only go up to 2000 when there are more than 2000 teams listed on the page?

Again, how do you plan to deal with a team list of several hundreds in that box? --Max

If scripts can be written, then a script can find the team that is "just before" team x and "just after" team 'x'. Without a script, it would be very unmanagable.--SilverStar 23:45, 26 May 2004 (EDT)

That can be done, but using the msg: insert (at least in the current version) will make it impossible. The script would have to work on each individual page. But as i said, stuff is going to change in future versions, so i guess we can stick with what we have for now... --Max

Why not make a 'index maintance' program that runs at a regular interval? it'd regenerate such indices so they automatically stay (relatively) updated. --Astronouth7303

That's a possibility, but as i said, things will change in the soon to be released 1.3. In addition, there aren't too many pages yet. --Max

I was going to start changing this list to list broken up by numbered sections with in page links (#0-100 #101-200....in anticipation for lots more numbers, i didn't get a chance to finish --Max 18:15, 27 May 2004 (EDT)

How do I add my teams page to this list I just made the page it is not complete but is made. It is linked on the page you said to add both links the mediafirst page. But how do I add the 647 link to the main team index page? -- Cyberwolf_22

notice how in the source of the team index page, there is a . This tells MediaWiki to insert the text from the article Template:FIRSTwiki_teamindex. So just edit that. I will do it for you since im here. --Max 08:12, 28 May 2004 (EDT)
Ah, sorry, i misunderstood. msg: will update occasionally because pages get cached. If you want to update them immediately, resave the page, set minor edit, and put "update" summary. --Max

AWW crap, its gone.... --Max 11:30, 28 May 2004 (EDT)

Why are people deleting teams? Please keep a team on this list unless they are totally of base, in which case please add a summary. --Astronouth7303 15:41, 31 May 2004 (EDT)

*shrugs* Well, I just added about 90.... --Goobergunch 15:43, 31 May 2004 (EDT)
Did you type all that up on your own? There should be a script for that... --Astronouth7303 15:48, 31 May 2004 (EDT)
Yeah; I figured out a way to get FIRST to list all of the teams (link). The hard part was looking up the team names; I did that from a combination of team websites and ChiefDelphi users. --Goobergunch 15:53, 31 May 2004 (EDT)
So who's 1083? (there's 14 on CD: 6 have "The Crew", 6 have "Emoticons", and 2 don't have anything)
I'd go with "Emoticons" based on their website. --Goobergunch 16:02, 31 May 2004 (EDT)
I guess I'll stick them back in. --Astronouth7303 15:45, 31 May 2004 (EDT)

Just out of curiosity, how are we going to handle teams that drop off the radar (if only for one season)? Perhaps create a listing of retired teams? --Billfred 13:06, 29 Oct 2004 (EDT)

How about retiredteam for teams that still have they're number, and <team name> (####) for teams that no longer have they're number? The latter will need to be discussed. --~~~~
I attempted to use the retiredteam template (in particular on 1083's page), but it turned up as a redlink. So I put a basic piece in there, and also added in another row to the team infobox for them indicating they're inactive starting in 2006. Feel free to improve it. --Billfred 19:12, 18 January 2006 (EST)

can we reupdate the lists of temas? I noticed a lot of new teams are not listed yet.

Of course you can. It's a wiki. --Astronouth7303 20:40, 19 Mar 2005 (EST)

Redirecting to category

Should this page redirect to Category:Teams? Instead of meerly adding teams to the list, people should at least be creating stub articles about these teams. --Astronouth7303 20:05, 24 Nov 2005 (EST)
