Unsung FIRST Heroes

The Unsung FIRST Hero Award (UFH) was created by Amanda Morrison, Amanda Aldridge, and Josh Hambright, members of the ChiefDelphi community, to recognize exceptional individuals who have contributed greatly to the success of FIRST but have largely gone unnoticed in official awards ceremonies, like the Woodie Flowers Award.
FIRST community members who have already received a Woodie Flowers Award, either nationally or regionally are not eligible for the Unsung FIRST Heroes award in the future.

Four Unsung FIRST Heros have won the Championship Woodie Flowers Award after being honored by UFH: David Kelso, Paul Copioli, Dan Green, and Mark Breadner. Numerous others have later won the award at the regional level.
